Hello All,

My IELTS Score is
Listening 7.5
Reading 6.5
Writing 6.5
Speaking 8

Overall-7

i am planning to apply for Express Entry.
Do you guys think its a decent score or should i retake the test

Please advice
i was sick from past 2 months on the day i took IELTS,Thats why reading and writing got messed up

Well, it depends on other factors, but you can go ahead and estimate your score with the CRS tool on the CIC website.

That should give you an idea of where you stand, and if it's necessary for you to retake the exam.

Good Luck.

i feel 7 is good however do check your points on CRS and then take a call. ideally i would recommend if it was <6 the minimum elgibility and personally i wouldnt if it was 7.

Its simple. If you are crossing 450 with these score just chill. Else give it another shot as you are just short of 0.5 in L/R/W to get extra 25 magic points!!

I'd say check your score on CRS and decide for yourself if you need some extra points. You can just apply and wait for couple of draws to inspect the trend and then if you need try and improve your score.

I think you should... when you dont get to CLB 9 you lose too many points.

I gave IELTS exam in India last year and as per CRS currently scoring 92 out of 128 max points. I would like to give test again in Canada but lets say my score drops so can I show Indian result which is still valid (upto 2 years) or will it be overidden by new score which is less (in canada).
I am just scared to take a risk. Please let me know.

if your score drops you can use that score which you feel will make your prospects better. You can give IELTS as many time as you want and use the score which u like.
