Should I request an extension before the result of student visa?

Hello everyone, I'm currently on an extended visitor visa in Canada (Quebec) and I'm applying for a student visa. My extension is ending September 1st and the CAQ result is supposed to be out a week before that, then if approved I'll apply for the student visa and that will be around a week before my visitor visa ends, in that case, I'll be in implied status or should I try and extend my visitor visa before that happens? I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong! Thanks!

There is also the restoration of status, but I'm not sure if that applies to my case!
