I'm an old applicant. Our passports expired after one month of our update of documents. We didn't renew them until after about 3 months since we knew that it would take that much time to get an answer from the immigration. Actually we didn't receive an answer till now which is more that 6 months. I will send the photocopy of our renewed passports next week. Would this delay in renewing our passports affect my application negatively? Kindly share.

not at all go ahead renew ur pp and send them a copy. no delays and no negativity.
