Hello everyone,
My brother is living in Ontario. I have got admission in Windsor University for Summer 2022 intake. I have questions below:
- In statement of purpose should I mention that my brother is living in Ontario? and would this makes my case weaker?
- Should I mention that My brother (Ontario) and my father (back home) will support me during my studies?
Or Visa officer would think that his brother is in Ontario I may stay after my studies...

Other members may tell you it could weaken your profile. But, IMHO, I think it depends on other factors such as ties to home country (properties, etc).
I mentioned my brother-in-law in my SP application and provided his letter of support and accommodation. Did this as well in my wife’s SOWP application. And yet again in my PGWP application. All were approved.

Always assume they will find out eventually. Better to mention everything that is related to Canada, and refusals you have had in UK, USA, Australia and other white countries.
