should I give up hope after 12 months waiting?

It has been 12 months now since my application was filed,

I applied GCMS notes last year OCT, and it shows under second review, due day is March 25th, 2015

since the due day has already past, Im feeling my application will be mostly likely rejected, should I give up waiting on that?

Never lose hope my friend.I am waiting from 15 months and still have hope that i will get mu PR
filed my App in Nov 2013 and received AOR in jan 2014 , and to till date no MR req or any kind of requests.

The VO mentioned my duties mentioned are generic and all the duties mentioned does not match with the NOC selected.sent for the second review in june 2014 .and waiting since then

may I ask you which job title did you use to apply CEC, what's your NOC number

did CIC explain to you why it took so long to process your application ?

My noc was 2174.
My spouse is in India. They suspected the legitimacy of our marriage..

I have the similar case as yours. But in between the process my spouse has been arrived Canada. First GCMS notes says Officer may wish to review marriage between PA and Spouse. Second notes has removed that line. I don't know how come the second notes has removed that line. But Still waiting for my turn. And God know when it will come. I'm edge of finish 12 month period. So I am in the same boat as you.

What does it says for Eligibilty (Passed, recommended pass or review)

As far as I understand the process is as follow:
1. Junior VO reviews your case and make recommendation for Senior VO/Project manager. If the recommendation is "Recommended Passed" than Junior VO will also initiate Medical Request.
2. Senior VO/Project Manager reviews application based on recommendation done by Junior VO and makes final decision. Also will initiate MR if the decision is positive but MR is not initiated yet. At this point Senior VO still can make negative decision even if Junior VO recommended passed.
3. Once status changes from "Recommended Passed" to "Passed" you should see "In Process" on your eCAS.
