i did only soft landing in toronto in NOV17, and stayed only for a week. i didn't got any health insurance etc.
i only got bank account and credit card, and depostied about 4 ks CAD in that account. And, then i came back to my home coutry.
i have an intent to got back and settle over there say after about 2 years.
But i don't have any significant ties with canada, except bank acct. and credit card (which comes under second tier ties).
my question is, should i file income tax to canada for my income earned in my home country from my local home country employer..since i became PR, ?

since what i learned from reading official website, significant ties are only, if i have a house, or wife is living there , or dependents are living there; which in my case, there is none of the above.
whats range for good interest income ?? can u give a slight idea...
say my interest income is less than 10 dollars per year, then i think, i shouldn't file tax returns. Right ?

I landed and stayed only for a month in Regina/Toronto in June 2018 and then returned back to homeland. Only thing I did during my stay is opened a Bank account. Plan to move permanently in Sep 2019. I'm working in a Canadian govt agency in my home country as a locally employed staff and they agreed to transfer resignation benefits to my Canadian Bank account. But I like to know:
-as this benefits earns in my country will it be taxable in Canada.
-Do I have to file a tax return on June 2019.
-Or I don't have to pay any tax being staying only a month after landed as immigrant.
thank you and appreciate experts view on this matter.
Hey buddy..have a case specific q. Did a soft landing and left after 1 month. Upon leaving deposited 100k in my account . Did not file taxes yet. Now I'm going back this month. So should file taxes as no income or income since day I become pr? I have no official ties or strong ties. Yes I do have some interests income .
I and my wife have short landed in Canada during 2016 and then we went back to Hong Kong, but we just recently relocated to Canada in 2018. We have not stayed in Canada during 2016 to 2018, I would like to know if (1) I need to pay the tax for the year 2016 to 2018 for my Hong Kong job? (2) can a permanent resident declare a non tax resident?

No, you don’t have to file your HK income earned before you came back. You may or may not file your ITR for 2018 depending of high the worldwide income from the day you came back to Dec 2018.
