Should I apply now under fsw or wait for express entry

No one knows yet how the new system will be. Why take a chance. If you are eligible, why not apply now ?

I don't know your full profile. But, if you're eligible, apply now. Don't wait for Express Entry. Go ahead. Don't wait for a minute.

I have the same issue. I am also in the process of collecting documents. By October mid, I am planning to send my application package. But my question here is CIC takes time in reviewing applications, i guess 8-10 weeks. by the time my application will be reviewed, it will be 2015. So whether they will review my application according to 2014 requirements or they will review it against 2015 express entry???

I am in the same page. I am planning to apply under PhD stream.
The reason why I am hesitated is (as I understand) they set a cap because of the express entry. So If I was applying by November, the chance of reaching the cap limit is very high.
However, I dont know whether the new system still has the PhD stream could not find any information about it.

As long as you've submitted your documents within 2014, it will be reviewed per 2014 FSW Requirements. Even if they will assess your qualifications by early 2015, your application will not be affected by the 2015 Express Entry because they committed in their publication that 2014 FSW & 2015 Express Entry will have a parallel run.

Consultant have to do nothing with your file expect to fill the forms and compiling you file. It's you who is responsible to produce required documents. You know better, are you able to produce these documents or not?
