Hello seniors!

I'm a CEC inland applicant, November 2018 AOR. I've passed my medicals and IP1 background check is in progress. My current PGWP is expiring in March 2019. I also have an approved LMIA from my employer.

Should I apply for a closed work permit or should I apply BOWP? I understand the difference between closed and open work permit but not sure which one should I apply.

Will BOWP be a secure option for me because CIC officer would know that my intention are to acquire PR? Whereas in closed work permit app. i would need to satisfy officer that I'll leave country on completion of my closed WP?

@scylla, @jes_ON please help!

Thanks

If you want to continue to work you need to apply for a closed work permit using your current LMIA. WP needs to be approved before your pgwp ends to keep working.
