This forum is superb with loads of information! I need some advice from folks out there.
I did not manage to meet the PR residency oligations but my husband and children managed to meet it and have since got their PR renewed. I had provided various reasons for not meeting the RO but was not granted a TD and was told to submit an appeal to IAD within a 60 day period.
I plan to visit my family in Canada this Dec and was told that if I am putting in the appeal I will have to wait for a TD. I understand the appeal is a long process and I may not be able to visit my family until I get the TD. I do plan to get a job in Canada and settle with the family but found it extermely difficult to get a job that was able to support the family and hence kept my current job. My husband managed to carry on his self-employed business while in Canada.
What would you advice
1. Put in the appeal and wait- this would mean I may not be able to go back to visit the family until they provide the TD? Anyone knows how fast a TD can be granted after an appeal is submitted.
2. Give up my PR and ask my husband to sponsor me(even if he is not financially stable in Canada). How long is this process?
Value any advice.
Thanks
