I am in process of applying for PR through Express Entry (Canadian Experience Class) and asking my employer to create an employment letter for me. My immigration consultant told me the letter should cite the NOC code of my position, but the HR at my work wouldn't include it in the letter saying the CIC should be able to "connect the dots".
Does anybody know if the NOC code should be mentioned in the employment letter?
No need to mention your NOC code in that letter. But this letter should describe your responsibilities, activities, together with the rest of info requested by IRC.
When the authorities will check your docs, they will verify if your NOC is compliant to responsibilities, activities mentioned in your work experience, especially if you are claiming points for it.
