Is it ok for me not to include my graduate research assistant position in the PR application even though I have it in my EE profile?
It was a part time position while i was a full time graduate student. It is difficult for me to get the experience letter from my university/ professor. so I was hoping to skip mentioning that in my work history and just show my full time student history in the PR application. It didn't create any gap in my PR application profile.
You can move things from your work history into your personal history as long as you explain why you did so in your letter of explanation. You will no longer be granted points for that work experience, though, so make sure that your score is still above the cutoff for your round when you exclude it.
@northern sunshine Thanks for your reply but where would we attach the explanation letter in the eAPR ? I dont see any place to attach additional documentation.
There's a section at the end/bottom of the upload area that sometimes disappears due to a glitch, but it should be called something like "client information". In the past when I was applying I was able to force it to reappear by going into my personal information in the e-APR and re-saving it, then clicking through to the upload section.
You can also just attach it as part of the same pdf that you upload your work experience letter(s) in.
