I've been nominated by British Columbia (Provincial Nominee Program) and my next steps are using the received papers to request a Permanent resident (by mail, takes 16 months) and a temporary resident visa (through web).
on IMM5690E, it's written "Do not submit originals unless otherwise stated as documents submitted will not be returned".
So, I made copies. What's not clear is if I need to authenticate all those copies or it's enough to just use a printer, create copies and mail them.
It's important because since I'll be presenting 35 documents and authenticating each document costs 16€, it ends up being quite a big cost.
Not to mention, my government doesn't authenticate some of the documents because they can be re-issued. There is a problem though, those documents have a translation attached, which means if I send the original I will need to undergo the translation-validation-affidavit process, which is even more costly.
Are there any chance CIC is fine with simple copies?
