Hi everyone,

I was working in a NOC job and was on track to complete one year at my workplace. However, I recently faced an unexpected layoff. I still need 170 more hours (about 6 weeks) to reach the required 1,560 hours, but my work permit is set to expire in just two months.

Given the limited time, finding a new NOC-level job is proving difficult. Are there any possible workarounds, such as counting paid vacation, sick leave, or any other exceptions that might help in this situation?

I’d really appreciate any insights or advice on how to navigate this. Thanks in advance.

Not options.
