Short landing and 2018 Tax Return

Hi all, I have a quick question about first-time tax filing. I did my short landing in March 2018 and actually moved in June. Today, I was trying to submit my income taxes through SimpleTax but validation failed at the last step. I read the help section and it seems this happens because the entry date CRA has on file (short landing date, when I got my SIN) does not match the date I'm entering on my form as becoming resident for tax purposes (June).

I guess I can file by mail but was wondering if anybody else ran into this and found a way to fix it to file online. If it's not possible no big deal, I just think that filing electronically is much simpler.

I think your first time tax filing should be paper .
