Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with shipping companies from UK to canada? We are moving from London to Vancouver (well, BC, but Vancouver will be the port) in May and would love any tips on which company to use or avoid.
I suggest you hire Canadian or American companies to do your moving, they are cheaper then Uk. I got quotations and notice that all of then blame Canadians for the high costs of unloading/delivering containers which is not true, besides Uk will charge Pounds for the entire process against CN dollar for Canada rates.
Also if you can DIY your packing and loading/unloading let then know when contacting then, they make huge money on it, either way ask for both prices (full and partial).
