I had the same happen with me. I called 2 weeks ago and the guy said he would email my request up the chain. no update yet.

Aplication was delivered to CIC on Sept 26.

I called two weeks ago and they said mine not yet opened so no agent assigned and didnt offer to assist. Mine was about same time as yours.

I called and I've been informed that the can't locate my file and they will send to the office for it to be checked. Anyone know about what goes next and should we be worried ?

I have been trying at least once a week and it worked today. Application says "submitted" but that's it. It does say UCI and Application no. which I didn't have until now.

Does this mean the AOR will come soon and that application will not be returned? Thank you.

Congrats! It means your file is processing and you should have AOR soon. Probably within a few days maybe even tomorrow. What is the PA country?

Linking application make sure that no. of people sponsor should say 2 instead of 1. I tried multiple times with 1 and only worked when entered 2. Also, read on other forums same issue and solution.

Application received date is 5Sept, no AOR. Called agent last week, she can find my application in the system but said no comment there, can't tell what's the status.

- Will they still input in the system for incomplete or return application?
- Why they enter the application in the system but no AOR yet?

Anyone can help?

PA = principal applicant.

I didn't try to call the agent during my waiting period, but as far as I know if your application is incomplete at all it will simply be returned to you and you will not receive an AOR.


Edit: Was able to link my application.

Make sure you put "2" under the number of family members if it's just you and the PA.
I used application number, passport information, and where the PA intends to reside in Canada.

Also, look carefully at the page after you try to link the application.

It looks very similar to the one you see when you CAN'T link.
