Hi everyone, I just received my ITA is last draw and am in the process of completing my document. There is a tricky issue that I am facing. Me and my wife have been separated for almost 6 months and have a child together.
I have not yet filed for a divorce since I was hoping our issued can be resolved for the sake of the child involved. While filing for my EE I mentioned that I am married and that my wife and child would be not accompanying.
Given the above scenario ITA documentation requires me to submit specific documents related to my wife such as Passport, Character certificate etc. Any advice on how to handle the situation ? Is there an option for me to just mention we are separated and not living together ?

For calling in a separated status, you should produce a divorce decree/certificate. Otherwise, you'll have to produce the documents for spouse and child, their PCC, medical and have enough proof of funds for the whole family, failing which the application will be rejected. If you want to take the child with you but leave the spouse at home, you'll have to get a No Objection Certificate for this from the spouse.
