Guys, I am moving back to my country and I sent Buffalo a letter to transfer mu file to my home country. How long do you think it might take for them to transfer it and when should i hear from them?

What i have read in this forum, transfer of file depends upon the decision of office currently processing. Some times they may decide to retain the file & complete the processing. Hope i am wrong as applicant shd be given a choice to request transfer if circumstances do change.
