Hi, I’m Valentina from Colombia. I’m planning to study a diploma in Ontario but I’m so confused.

I already received the acceptance letter from Sheridan (Mississauga campus) to study advertising and marketing communications and the letter from Seneca (North York campus) to study Interactive Media and Design.

I like both programs but I need to live in a place where I feel more comfortable. By comfortable I mean: a place with many stores (I’m gettting used to live in a big city) a place where I can find a job as an International student, could be as a seller, etc.

Important facts: I won’t have a car. I really need to work the allowed hours as soon as I can.

Is this Seneca@York? If so, it is next to York University which has plenty of bus stations close by as well as subway stations. Mississauga is not as friendly public transit-wise.

Hi Valentina.

I couldn't tell one city from the other, but for what I've read, Seneca seems to have better prestige than Sheridan. Again, this is what I've read. I considered this two colleges at the beginning of my process so I made some research.

There's a YouTube channel of two colombians who live in Mississauga. Look for them as "Empaque y Vamos". You could take a look to see their opinions about living in Mississauga.

I hope this helps. Good luck in your process.
