send passport 2 weeks back for stamping and on requesting status got this reply

hi ,
i applied for pR for canada in dec 2008 , when the new system was introduced, after so much waiting 3 weeks before they send me PPR request , i send my passport 2 weeks back. . yesterday i emailed them about my passports and i got this reply from them

We are responding to your email below.

CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we are not in a position to assess your client's application at this time.[/b
now i am very much depressed , i think i have to wait again for one year to get my visa stamped. is there anyway to contact soemone to clarify about my case and any suggestions what should i do

hmmm what i think is that CIC is sending replies without even reading query content, so these days don't rely on Ecas and email replies.

If they have sent you the passport req that means you are well within immigration quota and soon receive your maple leaf

MIS@ i hope for the same too. i am really very depressed now. bcoz if they dont give me visa now. i ahve to redo meds and all paper work again.. my meds are expiring end of july

thanks for the wishes .. hope i get my passport with maple leaf soon.
anothe rproblem is that my visa ofiice is in jamaica and i am indian residing in cayman islands another country , so living without passport is another problem as i am expat here ..

I am in same boat you sent your passports two weeks ago but I sent our passports dec 2010 and still waiting when I sent to CIC they respond in in process I don't know what should I do but from your side atleast they tell you the truth but from my side I get reply from CIC that still in que and in process etc.etc. my medical even expried in march.

Is it dec 2010 or 2011? Are they holding your passports since over 16 months? My passports with them since last appx 7 months? Strange?
