We will be selling our house in the US before moving to Canada.
Would we need to pay taxes in the US for our sale proceeds if we are buying another house in Canada within certain duration ? Is there any specific treaty between Canada and US for property sales?

Depending on if its your main home or secondary rental property, you may want to google 'taxes on property sale in USA' check the state and county conditions too if applicable.
