Follow CRA guidelines, pay taxes, pay bills, and you will have enough proofs about your residency.
But if you are moonlighting, and avoiding tax fillings, then you're in trouble.
For the application in itself, don' t overthink it.
Send them exactly what they ask for, and forget about the application once done.
If IRCC wanted people to send them additional documents in the first place and not when they feel it's needed for specific application, they would have said so.
