Security clearance

Hi,

I want to get a security clearance in Canada, the issue is my country of origin doesn't respond to such requests coming from Canada about individuals requesting a security clearance and I assume this is in many countries around the world.

Any useful tips on this please.

What level of security clearance and for what purpose?

It should be for get hired in the government sector. Not sure which level I should be looking for.

As far as I am aware, you don't apply for a security clearance, your potential employer does. It's therefore up to your employer to decide whether you are even eligible for clearance in the first place. If you are not a Canadian citizen who has been resident continuously in Canada for long enough, you may not even be considered for a government post that requires a significant amount of security screening. I doubt that they would even bother to contact your previous country.
