Security Check before Test invitation

Hello, I have sent my files to Sydney Jan 2 2017, and have not been invited for knowledge test as of yet. As my very last conversation with CIC they mentioned I am in Security check process. I even tried to open a rush process due to my job requirements of having passport, with my MP and they told her there is not much they can do before I pass the security check! I am Irannian but never visited back during my 5 years staying here. The question is, now that my 1 year is going to expire in 1 month and half, what action can I do after?

you are going to complete 2 years soon if that is not typo.

If you want to request for urgent processing you have to request directly from CIC as nothing is in MPs hand to request for rush processing. First thing you can do here that apply for Case notes immediately will take 30 days it will give you good idea about your current standing.

time line mentioned in total is 12 months is just to give an idea its not hard and fast that your file will be processed in 12 months as well. There is huge backlog which CIC is trying to clear at their level best. Please have a look on below spread sheet it will give you good idea.

Also do remember some visa offices are fast some are slow.
