Is there anyone who applied during the month of Jun-2008 as Secondary school teacher (4141) and got reply from ISLAMABAD OR CIOw.
www.cic.gc.ac mentioned on its site that "If you are not sure if you should apply as a skilled worker, you can"
use the " eligibility " tool to get an idea of whether your application would be eligible for processing, then
try a self-assessment test to see if you might earn enough points to qualify.
Secondary School Teacher fall in "Social Sciences and Education Category" in Skill level A.
Please reply
I applied islamabad high commission as secondary school teacher on Jun-08 and got acknowledgment letter in jul-08...............on march2009 i wrote email to islamabd high commission regarding status of my immigration file and got reply from IHC that my case forwarded to CIU sydney canada for further process.
its all most four month but not yet get any reply either from CIU or islamabad high commision.

do not worry.
There are many cases like you waiting for a long time. What will result if you become more worried ?
Wait more, as we, like you, do.
Best of luck.

Except that 4141 is not on the list of "38" so it is not eligible.

Hi,
4141 may not be included in the 38, but when I read this message recently, It's under 4131. Hence, it can be considered as 1 of the 38?
Hope to hear further your thoughts on this:
4131 College and Other Vocational Instructors
This unit group includes instructors who teach applied arts, academic, technical and vocational subjects to students at community colleges, CEGEPs, agricultural colleges, technical and vocational institutes, language schools and other college level schools. This unit group also includes trainers who are employed by private training establishments, companies, community agencies and governments to deliver internal training or development courses. College teachers who are heads of departments are included in this group. Click here for a list of Example Titles of this occupation.
Applicants with experience in the following occupations may also be considered under this NOC depending on the specifics of the main duties performed:
Instructors teaching non-academic or non-vocational courses (in 4216 Other Instructors)
Secondary School Teachers (4141)
University Professors (4121)
I got 6 yrs experience in 4141. While 3yrs experience in 4131.
Can I still claim 21 points for 4141?
Theoretically you can claim all your points from 4141 but most likely, you should claim at least one year of points from 4131 or your won't qualify.
Remember points is different from ministerial criteria. You have to show one year in a job from the ministerial criteria list. 4131 fits this requirement.
Hi every one
Is secondary school teacher (NOC 4141) in the fast track list 6 to 12 months?
And why it is in the classified elsewhere? Is it because of its not in fasttrack thats why they did not put it in the main unit please guide
Regards Ali
Hi rupeshhari,
Do you mean...
Since I got 6 yrs in 4141, hence I can still claim 21 points, eventhough I only had 3 yrs in 4131?
Hi aliimran,
So far 4141 is not in the 38.. But I read this recently from canadavisa.com, stating that:
"...Applicants with experience in the following occupations may also be considered under NOC 4131 depending on the specifics of the main duties performed:
Instructors teaching non-academic or non-vocational courses (in 4216 Other Instructors)
Secondary School Teachers (4141)
University Professors (4121)"
Actually this is what i've been trying to verify from the seniors now...

4141 CANNOT be considered in the 38 list thinking that it is mentioned in the Classified Elsewhere of 4131
As your Noc Code (4141) is not on the 38, most probably you will be given your application package including your fees back. So you should think of any other alternative.
looking forward to hearing from Seniors,
Tdr
You must have an year of experience in a job from the list of 38 to qualify for FSW1. only 4131 qualifies for this, not 4141.
If you dont have that, then you don't qualify.
As for points, it doesnt have to be only from the list of 38. I can be any jobs that is of skill type 0, A, or B. 4141 and 4131 qualifies for this.
Hi S.K, tdr, rupeshhari,
Thanks guys for that clarification! Now I know why I can still get 21!
All the best to all of you!
