school suspension on student visa

hello,
I am an international student here in Canada and i might get suspended by my school due to theft. My question was is it possible to extend a study permit while you are on suspension by the school? or do i have to wait until my suspension is over? because my study permit expires on september 2019 and im left with another year of my program.

You need letter of enrolment to get a extension.

when u say theft do u mean like assignments.books? Wouldnt that be a police matter and not the school

the police have contacted me about the matter but they haven't charged me with anything yet they are still investigating. would you possibly know what could happen in my case if ever i get charged? will my student visa be terminated?
