Hi,

For the purpose of EE, I was wondering if my previous experience in Canada counted as a Canadian experience. I spent 12 months doing reserach on a Canadian university, but I was paid by country scholarship. So, while my Visa was a work visa, I didn't have a formal contract with the university. I was basically a visiting student for them. So I'm unsure if it counts as actual Canadian experience, since I was in Canada but was being paid by own country. All I have is the letter from my funding agency (where it states I was a doctoral student paid by government and the Temporary Work Visa).

What do you guys think? How can I make sure I have the right information?

Thanks for the help.

It is depend on what permit you are holding when working.
