I applied for FSW once before and I will reapply again . Question, do we all (principal applicant and dependents) answer YES or is it just the principal applicant who has to answer YEs and dependents NO ?
SCHEDULE 1: BACKGROUND DECLARATION
9. Have you, or, if you are the principal applicant, any of your family members listed in your application for permanent residence in Canada, ever:
- previously sought refugee status in Canada or applied for a Canadian immigrant or permanent resident visa or visitor or temporary resident visa?
Dependents No. For u yes. Write a covering letter with ur file no ( previous) NOC code Date & place of birth and in reason column write application was withdrawn and the reason.
You all applied for the PR visa, you as a principal applicant, and they as dependent family members.
When you check the answer "yes" for each of them, write in the space provided for the explanation, applied as a dependent family member, and the application was withdrawn by the principal applicant.
Because all of you applied, not only you, they were accompanying family memebers, and applied for the PR with you. (you did not exclude them from your first PR application).
If they were not accompanying you in the first application, you would answer "NO" for them, but they were included in your application.
Thanks very much for the reply, that is how I thought it was done, just wanted to make sure because it was unclear to me, thanks again.
Right,
You have to e-mail or fax (I did both) CIC or visa office soliciting the withdrawal, depends at what stage you are in. Refunds depends, if your file has reached the "in-process" stage you get NO REFUND, if it has not reached that stage you do get the refund. I suggest you make apost to seniors for exact guidance on this matter.
