Scanning Guidelines

Hi all,

Just wondering if there are any scanning guidelines suggested? For each page of each document so far, I'm scanning at 600 dpi, saving it as a PDF. At the end, I plan to use a merging software to place multiple pages into the same file.

At this stage, is it possible to resize the document as well to ensure that it's under the 4 MB requirement? Or are most people initially scanning it at a lower dpi?
