I'm not sure which section to post this so just decided to dump it here ;D
Anyway, I have a friend who is a Lesbian and applied for permanent residence under live-in caregiver program. her application is currently in process and her common law partner is included in the application. now the problem her partner got pregnant :-\, do you think this will affect the processing of the application? her partner will give birth sometimes this september, does this mean the child would be included in the application as well?.
If the child was conceived in the "old-fashioned way", then that casts doubts on the relationship of the couple and will most likely be seen as suspicious to CIC. The most obvious suspicion is that perhaps they are pretending to be a same-sex couple so that the other woman can immigrate too, when in actual fact they are not a couple and the other woman is in a heterosexual relationship that has resulted in her pregnancy.
If the child was conceived through other means such as artificial insemination (which I suspect is NOT the case), then there should be no issues.
No offense but I suspect that they aren't actually a couple, especially if the principal applicant is willing to choose PR over her relationship by removing her "partner".
It is up to her to decide whether to remove this person from the app.
Actually they been living together for 4 years before the principal applicant came to canada. but then yeah thanks for your help my friend decided just now to remove her partner in the application. she don't want to sacrifice the application that has been in process for 2 years already.. we will make the letter today for the immigration.
