We are planning to submit our chat log with our application. We have 20 pages of chat log. Do we need to notarize all the pages or just the translated document and the affidavit?
You will need this TRV application/rejection or your conjugal app will be rejected. Apply for TRV immediately. Continue to collect your information but do not submit conjugal until you get the TRV rejection.
Conjugal is when there are barriers to you getting married - including (and a critical one) is inability of your partner to enter Canada, because otherwise you could just marry or establish common law in Canada.
So how are you conjugal then? You need to show that your partner has never been able to come to Canada to visit. That there are barriers for you to meet and be together.

Does TRV means visitor visa?
We do not know if his visa will be approved or not.
BUT if he gets the visa, he can come to Canada and either you two can get married or live together to become common-law.
And then apply for sponsorship.
In either case, extend his visitor status before it's expired.
