I gave IELTS exam in 2016 end when I needed it for education assessment in Australia I scored L8 R7.5 W7 S7. I needed to score 8 each for Australian residency. So I went for PTE! After 2 attempted, I scored S90 R90 L88 W82 which helped me getting Australian residency. At this moment I have everything ready to apply for Canadian resident visa but IELTS is only thing pulling me behind. I have given it three times in last two months only.
1st Attempt: I prepared nothing, had drinks a night before exam. R8 L7.5 S7 W6.5
2nd Attempt: I got bit serious and started to read articles about writing, practiced few tests and watched videos on Youtube. R8 L8 W6.5 S7
3rd Attempt: This time I decided to do my best. I went to local IELTS centre and explained situation. They helped me with mistakes and explained me what to do and what not to. I did all practice test from IELTS Cambridge books 6-11 and other few they gave as well. I was quite happy with my practice and quite confident about this. R9 L9 S7.5 W6
So this time when I practiced most and trust me that my tutor is expert in this from past 5 years. I'm kind of demotivated at this moment. Just looking if you were in same boat? what you did to get desired score?
