I dont have salary slip of my past employer so can I ask him to make a new experience letter mentioning salary in that , also I dont have tax submission certificates . Would experience letter containing duties, designation and salary would be enough ?

Should the letter say that I was getting xyz salary from this to this and abc salary from this period to this period . I was employed there for around 5.5 years so salary was different almost each year .
Or I can just mention my last salary by saying that I was getting xyz salary along with abc benefits .
