My husband works for a Canadian company in Ghana, South Africa.
He is a permanent employer.
His company has suggested he goes through the normal express program to apply for Canadian residency.
Any suggestion??? He is 58yrs old.

It will be extremely difficult for your husband to qualify under Express Entry because of his age. Express Entry is a points-based system - and applicants with the most points are the ones selected. He will lose significant points because of his age which will likely make it very difficult for him to get enough points to be selected. If he wants to try - the first step is to calculate how many points he has. Right now only those with 440+ points are being selected. He must say "no" to the question about having a job offer in Canada. Even if his company in Canada has said they will give him a job when he gets there, this does not count as a job offer under the Express Entry system. To count as a job offer, his company needs to obtain an approved LMIA.
