Hey guys, wanted to know is it normal to get SA without AIP? I'm an inland applicant ,In my case i received SA and pre arrival letter 10 days ago but no AIP and when i contact ircc, an agent told me that i passed eligibility but when i check Ecas it says we are reviewing your eligibility and no news on AIP letter, should i be worried? Tnx
Actually its not, agent said they're sending pre arrival letter to anyone whose file has started being processed and as i'm inland pre arrival services doesn't apply to me. AIP is a letter that states you meet the permanent residence eligibility requirements, but
you still have to pass the medical, security and background checks. thanks anyway

Hi!
I have the exact same situation. I got SA on May 11, no pre-arrival letter, No AIP. I called the agent, three agents confirmed that my PA eligibility has passed, but I have not received AIP as of now. And the agent also told me the background check has not started.

Also letting you know that it takes time for ECAS to update. I got AIP (they sent a letter to my online account) and it took a couple of days to update on Ecas.
hi Friends,
I have applied for AIPP inland October 14 and i am done with the medical and biometrics. Both are updated on the website. Today, i got an email saying that i am eligible for free pre arrival services. What does this mean? Can someone explain what will be the next steps Thanks

Concretely, it means you are eligible for pre-arrival services.
Less concretely, it means you've passed some internal step that indicates file progressing further. Because different offices seem to have different specific practices and all files different, doubtful anyone can tell you exaclty what level of approval or what steps next.
So it's moving forward and you are eligible for pre-arrival services.
