I wonder if they want proof that the child has not been put under the jurisdiction of the court. If that is the case, then maybe you need to prove that. Best to wait for someone else with this experience to answer. Good luck.

It would only apply if one parent was emigrating with the child and the parents were separated or divorced. The parent emigrating would have to prove custody and the ability to take the child outside the country.
My thought too was that if both parents applying together, birth certficate itself should be sufficient but wanted to your opinion as well. Thanks a ton
