RTD renewal Experience with valid visa

Guys. My RTD is about to expire and I am having a valid visa. Do I need to send my current RTD or I can keep it. Heard from friends they send it back. But I am scared if they don’t they I have to go back the whole hassle to get visa. Anyone had same experience to share there story will really appreciate it. Thanks

I want to renew my RTD, with valid US visa, did anyone renewed RTD without send back unexpired.
I am travelling USA next week and will be there for a month. I want to apply for renewal of RTD before I go US.

Yes they will send it back if you request for it. Just write a letter on why you need the expired passport back because you have a valid visa on it

I know they will send back, but I don’t want to send with application bcz I am travelling and renewal is taking so long

Guys don't forget that when you apply for RTD, you are only supposed to send RTDs/passports that are still valid, if it's already expired then you dont need to send it back!
It says :

• any valid passport or travel document issued in your name
