RQ before test, how long need I wait for the oath? (already taken the test)

I took the test today and passed. The test is pretty easy and the interview just takes several minutes. I'm fully expecting to my oath in recent months. To my surprise, the officer told me now the process has changed, they just start assessing my RQ file after they ensure that the test is passed first. It is said the process would take from 6 months to a year. However, you still have a shot to receive the oath notice very soon.

Is there anyone have the same situation with me?
Following is my timeline:

end of Jan 2014 application submitted
Jun RQ received and submitted
Aug test taken and interviewed

interesting situation. why some RQ get processed before test and then test date and some case like yours got test invite without RQ processed.

any thought of advice appreciated.

you are lucky..My application send 16-jan-2014..processing started 11-mar-2014..RQ received 26-may and send on 6-june...so far nothing..

Same situation here. At my test many people didn't show up. I hope this leads to faster processing for those who attended.

Yesterday when I took the test, they told me everybody here today was in the same situation, meaning they all got RQ before the exam. Did they tell you anything about the next notice or how long?

Which local office are you from? I think you will get the invitation letter pretty soon. Our timeline is very close..Good luck!!

No. The clerk said if the process is straight forward, I will hear from them "in a few months". Otherwise, it will take "significantly longer".
