I'm going through the final stages of the PR application process and received an e-mail that said the following:
If you have not yet paid, payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee/s (RPRF) for yourself and, if applicable, your accompanying spouse/common-law partner. Note that the RPRF is not required for non-accompanying spouses/common-law partners and dependent children, whether accompanying or not.
I already paid a fee of $1040.00 CAD back in November of last year, and have a receipt stating as much. What I don't recall is whether or not the RPRF fee was part of that payment or not. The receipt doesn't give any information about precisely what it is for.
