When trying to pay my Right of Permanant Resident Fee(RPRF) online, everytime I hit "pay with your credit card, it shows PAYMENT FAILED.The payment could not be processed: Transaction unsuccessful".
I am using a Canadian credit card but currently in China. I heard that I can make the payment only if I am in Canada, but not sure whether it is ture. Wondering if there is anyone meet the same situation with me, and how I can fix it.
Try calling your bank in Canada - it may be that they declined payment because they think it might be a fraud. Happened once with me (with some other stuff I was trying to pay for, not RPRF) while abroad. After they were satisfied that the payment attempt was legitimate, it went through.

I had a problem before, as I couldn't fit my whole address into the address field.
I called CIC and they advised that if you can't fit your address, put the first characters of the address in EXACTLY as it appears on your credit card statement.
Not sure if that's an issue for you but thought i'd throw in my 2 cents! Good luck.
