Hello,

I'm just wondering what are the risks of leaving without a PR card. I can't really find a solid answer. Also, will it be okay if one of my relatives in Canada mail my PR card while I'm abroad.

No risk. Yes - it's absolutely fine if your relatives mail your PR card to you abroad.

Hmm okay. Thank you for your quick feedback. You see, I'll be arriving in Canada as soon as CIC gives us the signal and won't be able wait 90 days for my PR card to arrive (says CIC website and the updated processing time). But thank you!

Hi, I landed this May and haven't received my PR Card yet. I really want to go to the US for few days in the coming week but couldn't without the PR card. I realize that if I come back by road via a private vehicle I can do with some other supporting document instead of the PR Card to enter. I'm wondering is it possible for me to go to Niagara falls and then just walk back through Rainbow bridge? I've search everywhere but I can't find anything related to this way. Thanks

That would be no problem. Would just bring your passport + COPR. No PR card is necessary if you're driving/walking across the border.
