How much longer after paying your "Right of Permanent Residency Fee" did you have to wait to hear from CIC? My boyfriend applied for PR back in September 2014 and since then the processing times have been changed 3 times. He paid his "Right of Permanent Residency Fee" end of November 2015 and had to re-do his finger prints/police check since they are only valid for 3 months, which he also did end of November 2015. He has been without a paycheck since July due to mistakes on CICs end, and to make a long story short he applied to renew his work permit back in October and that has yet to even begin processing so he is unable to work at the moment and has been without a paycheck since July. He has been living off of savings but that is starting to run out and he is planning on leaving Canada and going back to the UK to work at the end of January for a few months if he doesn't hear anything by then. We contacted our MP here in Calgary and they contaced CIC for him, however all they said was they they are still reviewing his documents and if he doesn't hear back by March to call again , they have been saying the same thing for 3 months now.
Based on the available information, the current processing time is around 18 months (June/July applicants are being finalized now). So a decision is likely to be made by March but not guaranteed. If the WP does not come through by then, working back in the UK in January may be reasonable. Good luck.
