Review of Eligibility

Hey everyone, so i'm sponsoring my spouse and i've been approved as a sponsor, and now my spouse is waiting for her application to be processed at the VO. The VO received the application in february, and since then no change, the "Review of Eligibility" is still in review.

Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

So what does this mean? that they just haven't looked at her application yet? also what's the order in which they do the process? Just as seen on the chart in CIC? The only thing that was done was the medical (passed) and there is no additional docs required.

Maybe i'm worrying for nothing, just getting super anxious as i'm an outland applicant... any advise is appreciated, thanks!

This means they are looking into whether on not your spouse meet the requirements to be granted permanent residence., this would include, for example, authenticating the relationship between you and your spouse.

What does it says for background check?

Don't worry about it. I don't think 'we are reviewing eligibility' / 'background check is being processed' changes until the very end. Ours hasn't and I've seen similar posts from others during my time here. We have final decision as well and that hasn't changed, either.

Might be that they just don't update the system very frequently

Our application went from Eligibility check to Background check to Decision made within few days

This is my 2nd time visa application. 1st time they refused my application after an interview because of just financial circumstances. This time everything is same but just financial documents is added. I don't know what's going on this time!!

would you just explain little regarding the financial documents. Also do you have any dependents.
