I'm writing on behalf of a friend. He is sponsoring his son to go to Canada. To make long story short, he has been living abroad for the past 20+ years. When my friend (the sponsor) sent in the application, he sent a letter explaining his intention to return to Canada once the process was finalized. He also included a job offer he has upon landing in Canada.
His son received an email from the VO requesting this "
-Please provide documentary evidence that your sponsor is living in Canada or the arrangements made for his return to resume residence."
What other "proof" are they asking about? If someone could please guide me so I could help him out because I clearly don't have a clue.
Proof that he's going to buy a home in Canada, or that' he's searching for some kind of residence in Canada, or a letter from his parents/friends that he has a place to live in Canada, etc. Yes a job offer letter helps a lot, but also should send docs that show he will terminate his ties to his current country of residence, such as a letter from his employer indicating his intention to quit his job, proof that he's listing his house for sale, etc.
