Hope this finds you well.

Due to family issues I am returning back to Vancouver I took my landing in Nov 2014. During this period I had no earning and was not using any benefits, do I need to file any sort of tax? My PR is valid till Dec 2019.

Also I have some end of service benefits from my employer and I have sold some family property back home, can I safely transfer those funds to CANADA?

Please advise.

It depends on what company you use to transfer those funds to Canada from your home country.

Thanks for your reply. Could you confirm what you mean by which company I use to transfer, I intent to transfer via payorder or my HSBC?
