Are returned and resubmitted applications placed at the end of the queue or do they get back the original slot?
My app was returned for absent fees after 3 months of original submission.
I enclosed the fee receipt and resubmitted the original application just like it was returned to me. It had the CPC sydney stamp the day it was first received.

In my opinion, when an application is returned, nothing is keyed in the system, so there is nothing to keep track the "original slot", so it will be placed at the end of the queue.
My application was returned due to supporting documents in two weeks. I resend the application with supporting documents next day or two. My case solved with in 12 months processing time.

actually, the application is stamped with the original date of receipt, so when they open it the second time , they will know it is an old application.
