Hi all, I'm new to the form, aplogies if there is a thread re this elswhere, if so I can't seem to find it.
Need advice please: I am needing to travel to the UK on business for 2 days next week. I am a landed immigrant, however my PR card is still en route in the mail. As I understand it, I can apply at the Canadian Embassy when I am there for a single entry return travel document.
We'll be in the same situation next month except we're flying to the islands for vacation. I checked on Air Canada's website and they only require a PR card from those that are not from visa waiver countries. Every PR is required to have their card with them as proof of status but I imagine if you're from a country that does not require a visa to enter the country you can travel on the strength of your passport alone (COPR, SIN card, enrollment for health card). I'm not sure if its risky though. Any other thoughts?
If you're from a country that requires a visa then you have to get a travel document 100% as the airline will not board you. They would be responsible for any fliers that could be refused entrance to Canada.
