Hello everyone.
I have a valid study permit for Canada till 2023. I have been in India for more than 6 months. According to IRCC website, if I've stayed for more than 6 months I've to retake medical exam. Could someone please confirm this. Furthermore, if I do have to retake this exam, where can I get the form from Canada government for the exam?
Yes, according to the IRCC website you have to take the medical exam if you have lived for 6 months or more in certain countries, and India is one of them.
You can get the medicals done from an approved panel physician in any major city in India. Here is the list of panel physicians approved by Canada.

Note: This information is best to my knowledge, please do more research and make a decision according to your situation.

Hi, thank you for this, do I contact the physician directly or do I have to get a form from IRCC and then approach the hospital?

You will have to
fill the form on the website of the panel physician that you will be visiting. If you can let me know the city you're in, I will try to help you further.

For my study permit, I applied through SDS. So I have taken Medicals upfront,
I mean I booked the appointment directly with the medical center on their website without having to involve IRCC. After I'm done with the medicals, I just uploaded the receipt I got from the medical test.
Hey, you don't need to get medical done again. If you got your test done in India, and the test was done less than an year ago you are fine. If you got your test done in some other country and travelled to India and stayed in India for more than 6 months you need to get one again. Hope it makes sense.
