Retaking IELTS

In the last 2 months, I have taken the IELTS 3 times. The first time, I had a 7.5. The second time, my score dropped to 7.0. I am awaiting the result of the 3rd attempt. I am hoping to get at least 8 in all bands. In case if I don't get the 8.0 in the upcoming result, does it make sense to take a break for a while or retake it in January?

yeah.... analyze your results and work on weak points...
