What happens in case you are just trying to improve your CRS score by retaking the IELTS and you score lower then the previous test but the old IELTS is still valid.
Can you just not report the new one? Would CIC find out about it? Because I know there is a way for institutions like CIC to check online the validity of your score.
I took the CELPIP test and had scores which allowed me to get maximum language points. Before the test I asked about this possibility. They told me that CELPIP electronically transmits results to CIC and sends a paper copy to candidate.
I assume IELTS does the same.
Timeline:
Entered pool: 2 Oct
Program: CEC
CRS points: 486
CELPIP results:
S: 9 R: 9 L:12 W: 11
Multiple IELTS attempts are simultaneously valid, independent of each other, for a period of 2 years from the date of the respective test. CIC can verify the authenticity of only that particular attempt whose TRF reference number is provided with your application. They cannot (and would not) verify if you have other valid test attempts.
Thank you for quick and clear response!
